We would like to let you know that from 1 April 2019 Network for Languages London will no longer be housed at the University of Westminster, its home for the last eight years. All scheduled events and activities will take place at the University of Westminster, as planned and until 29 March 2019, including our CLIL Centre activities. After this time, Network for Languages London will continue to provide activities, working in collaboration with our Language Acts and Worldmaking partners (https://www.languageacts.org/), based at King’s College London.
This year’s annual summer conference is due to take place on Saturday 18 May, as part of a series of events that will form a Worldmaking Fair, at King’s College London. This will provide an excellent networking opportunity for teachers of languages, across the primary, secondary and higher education phases, to come together and explore language transitions. More information and booking details will be available soon.
The University of Westminster has been delighted to work with teachers, schools, organisations and partners, in and beyond London, through the Network for Languages London programme and its predecessor, Links into Languages. Sadly, Domini Stone, the Network for Languages London Manager and Co-Director, will be leaving her post at the University of Westminster and Network for Languages London, on 29 March 2019. Domini has thoroughly enjoyed working with teachers and schools over the last ten years, particularly on such amazing projects, as the LSEF and Legacy Projects and Language Magician Project.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for working with us over the years and if you would still like to hear from us and receive updates about events and news, you don’t have to do anything. We will simply transfer your contact details we hold for you (name, school name, your role and email address) to our Language Acts and Worldmaking database. If you do not wish to hear from us anymore, please let us know by Friday 8 March, at the very latest, and we will delete your details.
We look forward to seeing you at future events, as part of the Language Acts and Worldmaking project. In the meantime, we hope to see you at our events in February and March, all listed on the website at https://www.networkforlanguageslondon.org.uk/courses/.
