You probably already know European Schoolbooks Ltd, or their bookshops in London – the European Bookshop and the Italian Bookshop, both in Gloucester Road, in South Kensington. If you do, you will know that they work on behalf of European publishers of language-teaching materials. Their principal languages are French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian and Portuguese. They also offer materials in other European and, indeed, in non-European languages. Materials include course books, graded readers, book collections for primary and secondary schools, grammars, dictionaries, games, magazines, contemporary and classic fiction, non-fiction and children’s literature. You will find their full online catalogue and many downloadable catalogues at www.eurobooks.co.uk
If you haven’t yet visited their bookshops, you might want to watch this brief video, to whet your appetite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9r0f-DMOd0w They would be delighted to welcome you! All staff are multi-lingual and are very knowledgeable about the resources that are available.

If you attend language conferences and exhibitions, you may well have a chance to meet colleagues from there and to browse some of the books that they offer. They generally include the events that they are going to attend on the Events page on their website. The Events page also lists presentations that they have organised with authors and publishers.
Orders through their websites are processed from the warehouse in Cheltenham where they have plenty of stock. Many books are dispatched on the same day that they are ordered.
European Schoolbooks is proud to support language teachers in the UK, and look forward to working with you. For any teachers visiting the European Bookshop and mentioning ‘Network for Languages’, there is a 10% discount offer on books.
