Charging policy for events

In order to cover our direct costs, e.g. catering and trainer/guest speaker expenses, course material there is a charge to attend events. Refreshments and take-home resources will be provided. The event fee is specified on the web page for the event in question.

Cancellation and refund policy – please read carefully

If you book, but find you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Alternatively you can arrange for someone else to substitute your place without incurring a cancellation charge. Note that there will be an administration fee of £30 for any substitution made less than 10 working day before the course is due to start.

I am now registered. What else do I need to know?

 

Q. Where will my course/event take place?

Although most courses and events take place at University of Westminster, 309 Regent Street, the University has other campuses and premises, where we do also hold a number of courses. Confirmation of where the course/event is taking place is sent with joining instructions nearer the date of the course/event. Make sure you take note of the location of where the course/event is taking place and refer to the link of the map with directions on how to get to the venue.

 

Q. When will I receive joining instructions for the course I am registered for?

Joining instructions with venue directions and a course programme are sent to delegates usually a week before the event.

 

Q. How will I receive joining instructions for the course I am attending?

Joining instructions will be sent to the email address provided upon registration. If registering on someone else’s behalf, make sure you provide the correct email address. We do not accept any responsibility for any information that has not been passed on to delegates who did not register themselves.

 

Q. Is there any discount for MA/PGCE students?

There are no discounts for MA/PGCE students, except for our MFL conferences. For all other courses, students will have to pay the fee as specified on the web page for the event in question, unless stated on the website.

 

Q. Can I receive updates from you?

Visit our website www.networkforlanguageslondon.org.uk to join our mailing list and you will automatically be added to the list and start to receive updates from us.

 

Q. Can I transfer my course?

No. You can arrange for someone else to substitute your place and a request for this should be made in writing. Note, that there will be an administration fee of £30 for any substitution made less than 10 working day before the course is due to start. Please refer to our cancellation period.

 

Q. Can I get a refund if I book a place and my school has not given me permission to attend?

No. We will only issue a refund if your written request is received 30 or more working days before the course date. Please refer to our cancellation policy.

 

Q. Can I get a refund if the trainer or location of the course changes?

No. Network for Languages reserves the right to change course trainers or venues from those advertised.

 

Q. Will I get a refund if my course is cancelled?

Yes, although we aim to run all courses as advertised. On the rare occasion we have to cancel a course, you will receive a full refund.

 

Q. Can I pay on the day?

No. We do not accept payments on the day. Payment is processed online. If you registered and experienced problems processing your payment, contact us as soon as possible to arrange an alternative way of payment.

 

Q. Can I get refund if I find out that my school is due to have an OFSTED at short notice?

No. As we have to cover our direct costs, our cancellation policy applies.

 

Q. I lost my certificate, will I be able to request a new copy?

To issue a new certificate a written request is required providing course details such as date, course name and trainer’s name. Note that there will be a £30 admin fee for this service.

 

Q. Can I receive additional support after my course?

Support will be given via Network for Languages London blog. We are also able to organise bespoke training for schools that are interested.  Note, we will do our best to provide follow-up support, but we cannot guarantee we will be able to provide support in every case. Please contact us
