As part of the Mayor’s Young Londoners Fund, the Greater London Authority is inviting eligible schools to apply for up to £50,000 grant funding to run Stepping Stones.
Stepping Stones is a school-based intervention, supporting vulnerable pupils as they transition from primary to secondary school. It has been successfully piloted in three London secondary schools, with a full evaluation and a fantastic Toolkit launched in January.
A limited number of grants are now available to new schools who want to start running the programme themselves. Funded delivery will take place over two consecutive academic years, beginning in the summer term of 2017/18. Successful schools will make use of resources and key learning points from the Stepping Stones toolkit, using the funding period as a foundation to continue running the programme in future years.
Applications must be submitted by midday on Friday 18 May.
