WW1 meets MFL: 100 years since Passchendaele.
Looking to link MFL with history and citizenship this term? How about taking part in a project to commemorate the centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele this term?
The British Council has just launched a freely-available MFL resource pack for primary and secondary schools, related to WW1 and the Battle of Passchendaele. Click here to access this MFL pack (registration to British Council Schools Online takes a few seconds if you are not already signed up).
It is part of ‘Passchendaele at Home’ – a nationwide research-and-remember project inviting schools and community groups to discover servicemen buried or commemorated in the UK who were wounded at the Battle of Passchendaele in 1917.
Funding of up to £200 (provided by the Department for Communities and Local Government) is available for these activities – for more information simply send a quick email to firstname.lastname@example.org to receive a free A1 poster (designed by the acclaimed visual artist Nick Hayes), research guide, and details of funding.
